I still haven't figured out what to do with it yet. Most people I talk to say they just let them have creative freedom with it. He will be here early so he can beat the heat. Anyway I'll post a pic or two with the results.

Anxious to see the final results.

Lets hope your tastes match his if you go with the creative freedom option.  Wink

I bet the pinstriping will be black.  It will increase top speed 1-2 mph.  Dave, just think, with the weight of all that new paint you will probably get worse mpg's.  I am looking forward to seeing your new paint job.

Bet I was too late to ask that you video the job.

Years ago I had a boat I wanted pin striped. We talked about it over the phone and he had it done just as I got home. He did it just like I wanted, but I told him I was disappointed that I did not get to watch. He got his brush and paint out and did a bunch on the deck....then he removed it. Those guys are real artists.

Bet it turned out nice.

Ok everyone here is the results.

As you can see I didn't go crazy. I just wanted to break it up a bit. I use Black and Red. I really like the way he highlighted the Valkyrie on the tank. I forgot to take a pic of the front fender, pods and air wings but you get the idea. It is all 100% hand done. It took him from 7am this morning and didn't finish until 6pm. The first 2 hours was just laying it out and talking about colors. I added the Valkyrie later in the day because I thought the tank looked to empty on the side. I'm really glad I did.

O.K, I'm not sure about anybody else but since you put in all that time, effort, and expense for this paint and pinstripe job, I'd like to see more pic's. If nothing else, at least from those sections you mentioned that you didn't post.

Due to the sketchy weather we'd been having, I finally got some time in to primer those side/rock rails for the FJ, and today have been getting on a few coats for the textured black Rust-oleum paint. Heck, they might even be done before the next storm hits later today!  Undecided Not looking forward to having to support them rails for the install but anxious to get them on.

Yup, what he said...  cooldude Looks like you should be pretty pleased.

I'm going to be making a run (4 wheels) out to visit my son, sister, see a couple live shows and for my 40 year reunion around the end of the month. Then heading back in mid-August, maybe I'll try to meet up for a quick drive-by and see it in person if I can when I'm coming or going..

Either way, sure looks good from here. Thanks for posting the extras.
