Thanks. I've hit links to several of the pages but never realized they were all part of 1 site.  Embarrassed

Does this help some?

This just confused me. I either have part 11 or 12 but I don't have both.  crazy2

Here's the schematic with all the listing of parts

I'm still not seeing 11 and 12. Just went out to look at mine and it looks like one solid part.

Whatever, one or two parts, it doesn't matter if you're doing a desmog.

It all goes....

Yep.

Got the desmog done. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Pinged the rim of the freeze plugs to insure they don't come out and put Loctite on the plate bolts to ensure same.

Got another question. What's the best way to clean the float bowl covers? I tried carb cleaner and it did nothing. When it's dry I can chip little pieces of varnish of but doing the whole bowl cover is a bit much. I have them soaking in mineral spirits now hoping that will soften it up so I can flush it out.

Have you ever tried Brasso, amazing stuff.

I'm sure that Brasso and a healthy dose of elbow grease would get the job done but I'm not sure I have the latter.  Undecided

Just let it soak awhile, it won't take much elbow grease.  cooldude
