Ok,
Whats the protocal if someone sends you a cool email with either pictures or video?  How do i transfer them to this board?  I know I can save pictures and post them in photostash.  But when someone sends me a link or has a file inserted into an email I have had no luck at reposting here.

To post a link, it should be a simple cut or copy and paste in your post.  To post a video someome sent you, you must first upload it to a video hosting website and then link to it.  If I assume you are referring to a Youtube video already available on youtube, you should be able to post it here as well.  However, some videos have embedding disabled for some reason.  That probably didn't answer your question did it?

Upload your wmv file to something like Utoob, they'll transmogrify it into some kind
of flash thing, then when people try to view it they won't have to wait four and a half
hours before the whole thing downloads and it starts playing.

If you just slap your wmv onto a webpage somewhere and post the URL, it would work, but unless
it was a map to a secret gold mine, nobody would wait for it to load...

I have the slowest kind of DSL at home, uploading a small wmv or avi file to youtube takes a while,
but it is easy, and once it is there, it is not painful for others to view it.

It may be that if you have dial-up, you might be up-the-creek...
