Hey all,

Looking for a few opinions,  sure there may be some here!  I did a full final drive service 3K miles ago (pinion cup, new moly grease,  3 orings,  the works).   Now I've got the rear wheel off to change a tire.   The splines look good and still well greased.  Would you all recheck the full final drive or just relube the splines and put the wheel back on?

Since it was convenient presently, I'd be doing both. Roll Eyes

With good servicing I've found I can go 10-12k but didn't the first couple times. I gradually increased the mileage and each time it was fine. So now unless something shows up, I'll run around 10-12k. So far, so good.

Used to coincide with replacing the rear tire. But now with the c/t in back I have to remember to service it regardless of whether I'm replacing it or not.

Since it takes...like 10 minutes extra beyond a normal tire removal, I do it every time I have it off.

But...that said...at 3k miles I wouldn't sweat it. (as long as you tighten the 4 nuts that hold the final drive AFTER you torque the axle...every time)
