I could like my Valk ( 2001, standard) some stiffer at the rear when loading up for longer rides. I go 2 up and max load and I feel it "bumps" to the bottom of something every now and then,,
1. Can i destroy something when loading to much ?
2. Any idea where to buy air shock absorbers ...........or do anyone have an other idea?

I and most here that have switched shocks have the Progressive 440 hd in a 12.5 length. I would almost suggest the same shocks except in the 13 in length. The stock shocks are equivalent to the 12.5 length so you would even get a little more travel. They will make quite a bit of difference in the ride and you shouldn't bottom out. Some have also gone to the works shocks that you may want to check into. The Progressive rears and fronts springs were one of the best mods I did made the world of difference in the ride.

+1...What Robert said I went Progressive 440's in the rear, set at 7 full turns out. Progressive springs in front. Very positive and noticable improvement.

Most of my riding is two up also. I went with the Heavy Duty 13" Progressive 440's some 4 years and 30K miles ago. It was a VERY worthwhile investment. Recently, I noticed one of them was leaking fluid. Progressive rebuilt both of them for free; turn around time was about a week. they really do stand behind their lifetime warranty. Nice to know I'll never have to pay for another pair of shocks!
no affiliation, YMMV, yada yada yada...
