I have a couple perfect muffler tips from my '99 Valkyrie in the garage.  I looked at them and one in particular looks pretty kewl in my opinion.  The tips on the '99 were removable and changeable.

I really like the one with the 3 tubes coming out of the larger slash cut tube.  I think I ran them only a bit before Mark T did his thing and I installed the 'glass pack mod' to the '99.

Anyway, I was looking at the tips on the new Valk.  And, altho they look like they are slipped on to the larger muffler cover, I can't figure out if they come off.  I don't see a screw or some such.

Anyone have an idea if the new Valk muffler tips come off?

Thanx.  (BTW, I think this bike is pretty neat!  One of the top 3 bikes I've had outa the box.)

Looking in the service manual it looks like the muffler does not come apart.

Yeah, I was looking at the parts on the bike ... eye balling the pieces.  And, looked at the parts fiche, too.

I think you are correct.

But, seems odd don't you think?  That Honda would build this bike and not have oem muffla tips to sell later?  But, what do I know.
