I bought some of the scalloped chrome carb covers off ebay. No instructions. Do they replace the stock covers or do they go over top of them? Undecided

they should replace your covers.  as you take the stock cover off, be careful.  it's actually just covering a black carb cover.  when you loosen the screws, the spring will be pushing up, so be sure to hold it down.
