2000 IS  just got back from a 770 mile run and  the front end sounds like bed springs squeaking. I bet I can be heard coming down the road for a 1/4 mile there are no visible spots rubbing there are know seals leaking  can't find anything . would it be bad to put a little grease on the tubes or will it just collect dirt and make it worse ??   OR is it a sign of something worse in side the tubes

DO NOT put lube on the exposed fork tubes. Clean them up and dry them off. Are your brake pads releasing properly? Is the fairing tight to the mount? Excess play in clutch or brake lever? Not being able to hear your noise how bout wheel bearings? How many miles on her? Are the rotors tight? Others most likely will chime In also. Good luck with yer problemo. RIDE SAFE.
