I want to show ya how because last month at InZane 14. Someone was working on his own Valk. He came to me about the driveshaft was broken. When I saw the driveshaft, I told him did you drop it? He said no it was like that when he took it off I said well those are fresh and damaged. If it was inside the joint the grease would be all over on damaged area. He said he use hammer to get driveshaft off the pinion joint... Ahhhhh that's a good way to damaged driveshaft. He asked me if I got spare or new? I said I don't have with me. I told him see Viper guy and he has spare... So I thought to show ya how... Here's the video.

That is the way the Honda manual tells you to get them apart wiggling and turning.

A picture is worth a thousand words, but a YouTube video with a dry sense of humor is worth 20 thousand and a few good laughs.

Not a word was said in the entire video... Love it.

Great video. Beats the heck out of shaking it up and down by the driveshaft and dropping it on my foot!

Yeah but nothing beats you and a buddy in the front lawn playing tug of war with drive shaft and final drive until they separate!

No more show for the neighbors, I guess....  Undecided

Very cool vid.  I kept expecting to hear the music going La Da Da Da Da and see you pull a rabbit out of the pumpkin or somewhere.

Thanks, great tip.

Hey BF,

I'm the dumb dumb that broke the drive shaft a day before a 3000 mile trip around Lake Superior from Asheville. I had taped on it the other two times that I removed it and it came out with no problems. The last time I installed it I put a new ring on it. So I was thinking that new ring was holding it more and I would have to tap it harder. Now I know better.

Luckily someone at InZane had a used one and I was able to make my trip. I'm sorry, I'm horrible at remembering names. Thanks to the people that was able to help me.

Your video is great. I will try that next time. cooldude

Thanks, David in Fletcher NC.

Hi David,
Yup you asked me about it that I didn't have and told ya try Viper over there, His name is Michael Townsend Viper Creation. Yup lucky for ya he had spare...
This is why I wanted to show the video so they don't make same mistake like you did...
Next time if you're not sure, do ask me or anyone who know how...
