my 'new to me' Valkyrie needs new brake pads.

what type of pads work best on this bike? kevlar, organic kevlar, semi-metallic...etc.

any brand better than another?

also, i'm going to measure the rotors to make sure they are good also. if not they will be replaced too.

Do a search on brake pads and you will get many opinions.  Generally, many recommendations for OEM pads on OEM rotors.  Soft organic pads are also easy on the rotors.  There are some cheaper soft pads out there, and you will find recommendations.  The danger is that hard pads cause wear on the rotors.

Vesrah  which makes most of the OEM pads, lower price and can get them as a thicker pad for longer wear.
