Next Thursday, we are going to RG's Burger & Grill for dinner.  They have world-class hamburgers cooked the old fashion way so come on out and join us.  Let's plan to meet there at 7pm.

RG's is located at the southwest corner of Loop 288 and I-35 in the Southridge Shopping Center behind Chili's.  Let's plan to meet there at 7pm.

For those coming to RG's I wanted to tell you about Lonestar Leathers.  I stopped by there last Saturday and bought a couple items.  They have leathers, helmets, patches, clothing, goggles, and so on.  I bought a blue jean vest with patches on it for less than $20.  They are located on 380 near the intersection of 380 and 288.

Great turn out tonight! Right up there with the east side dinner rendezvous! How many folks, David? Had to be in the mid twenties. Good burgers and some new folks too. More couples than usual. Anybody get a photo? Thanks to everyone that made it a most worthwhile outing. Yea, the ride home was much more fun than the ride up. ~Jeff

It was a good turnout last night and I enjoyed seeing everyone.  I hated the traffic riding up but the ride hope was great.  Hopefully the guy, Valkyrie owner in Denton, that stopped by will join us in the future.  In the future, we should take sometime a get some group pictures whether it is a ride or a dinner.

Oops!  With all the camera phones and even a professional photographer present, I believe we failed to capture the moment.  

Janet and I both counted 24 - including 1st-timers Ken Bailey on his fast black, one-owner, '99 Tourer and Elizabeth & Randy Anderson on their low-miles, green & cream, '97 Tourer - and then Wanderer arrived with the goodies.  (Thanks to Al for providing and Jeff for retrieving and delivering!)  Also included in the 24 were Valkpilot's friends on the VTX, whose names I failed to log.  We had 25 sitting when local Dentonian and Interstate owner Jeff Juarez walked in.  Grand Total = 26!  Really good stuff.  Thanks again for suggesting RG's, Baron.  My burger was really good.

Longest ride to the meeting went to Mr. & Mrs. Chauffer, from Mansfield.  

Upcoming activities include, but are not limited to: Saturday breakfast ride to Blue Ridge, Saturday Hooters ride, Ghost Ride to Jefferson 29 & 30 August, Ride for the Riders 29 August, Ride to Minnesota the same weekend, Ride for Kids on 4 October, DFW / Houston Ride-In, details TBA.  

We asked for, and received email addresses from everyone present who is not currently receiving VRCC emails.  So, if you're reading this and not receiving the occasional VRCC mass blast, please post or email me or godfire and we'll get you on the list.

September's monthly dinner "meeting" will be Thursday 10 September 2009 at The Ballard Street Cafe & Grill in historic downtown Wylie.  I called.  They don't have a website.

The couple on the VTX were friends of mine, Keith and Kimberly.  Keith is a great webmaster and he desigend and built the Denton County SCRC website and Texas State Reunion registration site.  Check them out and while you at it register.  This is the event I talked about last night that will take place in Denton October 9-11.
