Well I Had To Have Some Surgery On The Un-Healed, Open Wound On My Right Leg On Thursday. The Doctor Had To Scrape The Incision And Put On A Wound -Vac.  To Help With The Healing Process. The Dr. Said That It Must Heal From The Inside -Out So I Will Be Toting A Vacuum Pump Around For A Few Weeks, Hopefully Not Too Long.

Dang Bert, sorry to hear this, sounds like more pain of course, so this is the incision area where they had to go in and add the rods, how are the bones mending ? Stay in good spirits and all this will heal up quickly.

Thanks To You All For The Healing Prayers. I Hope That This Procedure Increases The Healing Process. It Seems Like It Has Been A Long Time  That I Have Been Dealing With This Leg But As Long As It Is Healing, I'm OK With It.

Hope that gets you going soon Bert.  I had a cousin that had a hydraulic hose break at the paper mill where he worked.  It cut his hand pretty bad and shot fluid inside his hand.  They kept it open and him in the hand surgery center for quite a while.  They said the same thing, it has to heal from inside out.  He is fine now keep the faith.

Keeping you in our prayers. It takes time, hope fully not as long as me. At my age 4 months for the bones to knit. I am sure the doc is taking the best route.

Bert those wound vacs do an amazing job. I have seen them close wounds that ten years ago would have had to have a plastic surgeon turn a muscle flap over and skin graft it.
They do however sometimes take a while(patient dependent)

Sorry to hear about the setback Bert but I'm sure it will be for the best.
I'm sure you will be riding by the time I get back to Fl.

Bert we'll keep praying for your complete and speedy healing. Someday this will all be just a bad memory.
