So after my small fender bender last year, the new rear fender is complete.  My plan was to mate the stock fender together and then have a license plate area frenched in. After meeting with the body shop guy, it was not cost effective. He suggested I look for an aftermarket fender that would fit and we could tweak it.
So, I bought a West Coast Choppers full aftermarket fender. It already had the license plate frenched in and most of the measurements were good. But once it sat on the bike there was going to be too much work to make it look right and mate with the seat. So, what we decided was to cut the West Coast Choppers fender right in half and mate it to the front section of the stock fender. When it was cut and tacked together, it still wasnt perfect. My body guy welded in more to the sides, blended the body lines and this was the outcome.
Jimmy at www.xtremekreations.com is amazing. He does some very, very high end work on custom bikes. I would highly suggest giving him a call. His body and paint work is 2nd to no one. I wanted to keep the rear clean so I went with an LED strip for stop and turn signals. It was a long haul but worth the wait.

The LED strip on the bottom edge of the fender is the brake lights and turn signals.
