Thinking of putting my own paint on this black Valk.  I'd like to remove the badge and replace with a painted emblem, though I like the stock look.  Here's a quick photoshop stencil design which I could probably send and have a vinyl made to mask the black and create the logo.  Thoughts?  I still need to clean up the edges on the face since I had to copy it from a photo of an old Honda Valkyrie hat pin... I know, lame.. but it was the only way to find it.

I have the PSD file is someone is a wizard with photoshop, I'm a rookie.

John

It's your Valkyrie, do as you wish.   Customizing or personalizing is a major part of what we're all about.

But, don't throw that emblem away, the next owner might want it.   I know I would.

Can't help with the image, I only dealt with images for web sites.  Not the quality I would put on my Valk.  Don't throw away the tank badges, I've seen them on eBay for good money.  I've removed all my badges, prefer it that way.  Planning to make wall plaques with them by mounting them on wood backings.  Hope your project comes out good...

Yeah, I know the graphic is rough... but I made it from that photograph of the pin I attached above, so considering my photoshop skills..... needs some refinement to make all the lines smooth.  But my '01 badge has that same Valkyrie graphic on it, so I'd like to keep it.  Where would I get a clean graphic?  I've scoured the web...

Get an artist to do a rendering. Make it a profile of a fox. She looks a little "industrial".

Not like a red fox.

Like Meagan Fox?  Doesn't much matter what color she is....    Yes, the badge is a bit industrial.  Here's the badge that is on my bike and that graphic is also industrial, I might be better off using this badge to make the graphic instead of the pin... it has sharper lines and my son is an artist, so maybe I can have him work with it.  Great ideas.

I had some emblems made up based on my wife's profile. I originally intended to replace the tank badges with them. But they were really to flat, so I ended up putting them on the bags. I'd like to get a more 3D pair made someday and put them on the tanks. The photo in my sig line is me holding them up to the tank (I photo shopped out my hands.)
Funny thing, I didn't think the put the word "Valkyrie" on it. I do think Mrs Sharon make a heck of a Valkyrie.

Shoot me the image you have in .eps  or .ai if you can. If you can't, then send what you have and I'll see if I can clean it up for you.

Signart, You can line draw it right over the jpeg image and then get creative with it. Some one gave me a disc with a valk interstate done in vectored art. I have a great time doing custom paint jobs with that line art.

Also John, I have a few custom designs for a "different" tank badge in my computer. I was thinking of having them 3D printed.

Had that emblem painted on the wife's tank for her trike. 2001 blue and white. The emblem is the same white as the stripe. Just deleted honda from it, due to it being too busy.

I'd love to see some additional designs!  I like the "Honda" style wings behind the Valkyrie head but I also like the "Viking" lettering used on the hat pin and I'm up to revise the face a bit as well as the helmet horns.  I am trying to trace the actual tank badge graphic (a photo) because it is longer and sleeker than the hat pin one (though my helmet horns are looking like Cat Woman ears (and they would look great on Hale Barry) so I'm  not liking that for the Valk... not having much success doing a smooth job, so assistance would be great but it is better than the trace of the hat pin.

Couple badge designs I've been working on.. it is getting better anyway.  Thoughts?  Do I keep the "Honda"?
