Just got a Valkyrie as a birthday gift.  I've always wanted one and have been on a 30 year old 1100 goldwing for seven years and that's still kicking. So, when I showed up for a visit home my family wheeled a white and purple highlighted Valk shining with chrome out into the driveway.  It was a jaw dropper.  So, at the end of my visit I packed up the Valk with a one man tent and hit the road.  Everywhere I stopped people had nice comments and looks for the bike and many took pictures with and without asking.  It was pretty cool.

Then, I hit Sturgis for the first time.  That was a jaw dropper too, but what was cool was even the Harley Riders, though cool, gave my bike respect because it was clear the Valk could hold its own against any other bike there.  I saw only two other Valks there, but I had a great time showing off on my bike and seeing thousands and thousands of other amazing bikes, but even so, I was glad to be riding out two days later on my Valk.

I couldn't get over the suspension and even the soft stock seat I had.  I bought a Crampbuster clip on at the Harley Dealer in Sturgis and was in Heaven without anymore pain in my hand from holding down the throttle for hours on end.  Of all the things to get at a Harley shop... I'd say that one item for ten dollars was the best I could get.

Anyway, I met lots of wonderful people on my trip, flirted with the ladies, and just let my Valk hug the road and sail through the valleys on my way back to LA.  I kept thinking... this bike is quieter than the wind passing my helmet.  I love the quiet stock pipes on the bike and really don't have any desire to change anything on the bike it runs so nicely.

Looking forward to many more rides in Southern Cal with other Valk riders and any other motorcycle riders who just love to ride.

My first trip was 2800 miles of pure pleasure on the Honda Valkyrie.

Thanks for the warm welcome.  I'm so stoked to have such a smooth machine after years of riding.  It will be cool to link up with other riders and carve up the Cali roads.

Hey Jaz, looking forward to meeting you. That's quite a break in ride you had there. Glad you made it home safe and sound.
