Just did mine.  Only replaced the damper plate and cover gasket.  Made the tool to remove the snap ring from a $5 PVC adapter.  Need a air powered impact to get the clutch nut loose.
It was actually not bad on the big lift table from Harbor Freight!
Where are you?

Sounds like a great wrench party - a few of the guys around here (DFW) have done the clutch.

Come to the meeting Thursday night and see what you can find out.

I've not done a clutch repair, and probably a bit beyond my skillset, but I'm in Garland and could host a wrench party if you need a location!

Geoffry, I'd love for you to host a wrench party!  With your close proximity to Rocketray it could be very convienient for him.  I'm not sure what special tools you would need, but you would have to have a air compressor and and a impact driver from what I understand.  I'll let ya'll hammer out the details.

I appreciate all the offers guys!    :cooldude:But looking thru the archives it seems you have to take it apart..then order the pieces you need which then would take some days to arrive then put it back together....pretty time consuming for everybody it would seem..I called MAXIM HONDA and  they said their service techs have done it before so I think that would be easiest. Thanx Ray
