I have a 99 IS with the pod lights the problem is i believe my switch is bad.......power going in nothing coming out. I bought this bike and had to take a lot of crap wireing off have i missed something? is there a switch out there? can i use a different switch? thanks for the help.

Down load it and see if it answers your questions.

You should be able to us any type of proper switch you want.

Original switch is available from Electrical Connections or J&M.

There is a relay for those lights too.  Make sure you check it while you are at it.  Mine is under the right side cover, but that is not a requirement.

The switch comes apart. I had the same problem so I took the switch apart cleaned and lubed it, put it back together and it works like new.
Have a good clean work area if you take it apart, there are some tiny parts in it.
