Living the dream in Sharonville, OH - with Sharon!

« on: August 19, 2014, 06:47:43 PM »

Joe is at home and getting along pretty good. He has good days and bad days, but for the most part good. His townhouse isn't very wheelchair friendly, especially around the bathrooms. So far that has been his biggest challenge and the cause of most of his frustrations. He's fallen a couple of times.
He's spirits are still good and he's really eager to get back to work and get things back in order.
Thanks for all the support and the prayers.

Traumatic changes take a while to adjust to so sounds like he's ahead of the game.  When he does move to a walker, make sure to get one with inner wheels so that it will go thru the doorways a little easier.  Prayers continuing for Joe and the whole family as they recover from this accident. angel

I went back to look at your earlier posts.  My heart goes out to Joe and I'm praying for him.

He has a few rough roads ahead of him that no one else may understand.

Thanks for the update Jim.  One idea, if his other leg and upper body are still strong, you might look at getting a "knee scooter".  BJ rented one when she broke her ankle and it gave her lots of freedom.  It is pretty narrow and fits through doorways.  It also has a brake on it in case you get going down hill and need to slow.
She hated the wheel chair, because she had to transition from the chair to the walker to get into the bathroom.  With the scooter, she rolls right in.

Just a thought.
Still praying for your family and Joe.
