I need to replace the rotors on my trike that has an IS front end on it.  Do any of the aftermarket stop and disapate heat better. The trike is a lot heavier than the bike was.  Honda rotors must be getting scarce.  Directline is a 6 week wait.  Bikebandit can't get them anymore.  Only one dealer I called has them but $$$475$$$ apiece  Shocked
Anybody running aftermarket?

From Jeff K's generic Valkyrie parts page:

Brake Rotors

The following are Honda part number from a GL1800 GoldWing. They do fit a Valkyrie.  Front only

DISK, R. FR. BRAKE
45120-MCA-003

DISK, L. FR. BRAKE
45220-MCA-003

Should be about $150 each.

Mine had a bent rotor when I got the bike and replace it with an EBC pro lite rotor. It works good and looks an awful lot like the Honda one on the other side. But it rusts real fast and the pads leave a mark on the rotor that grabs for a while until it wears off. If I were to do it again, I would go with the goldwing rotors mentioned above. Honda makes much better stuff, and the goldwing rotor must be heaver duty than the valk ones were.Just my opinion, and you know how much that's worth! uglystupid2 uglystupid2

Organic pads will give your new rotors long life.

Goody, I went with the EBC rotors 3 years ago.  Use their pads and you will be able to stand that Trike on it's nose.

I have the Pro-Lite rotors,,

Well worth the $$$, get their pads also......   Did I say get their pads?

Well looks like two things we an do.
1 Go with the goldwing rotors and new pads.
2 Go with EBC pads and rotors.
Now what are you going to do Big Guy?
