I have a 2001 standard and am a dark sider. It all started with a Tow-Pac Insta trike kit installation. I had a slow leak on a worn rear tire ( replaced it with an identical tire). I did the "O" ring replacement and lubed the final drive. I followed the VRCC shop talk on the matter to the letter. The tire is terribly close to the right side of the swing arm.
I'm re-torqing with preesure on the right side of my new tire. Any advice??[img][/img]
I have no idea what you mean by this. there is no lateral adjustment for the wheel on the axle. Any attempt to alter the location of the wheel in relation to the final drive and swing arm will only serve to put the rear end OUT OF ALIGNMENT.
It is a common complaint from those that try car tires that some of them are a bit wide and run very close to the swingarm side. There is noting you can do unless you are willing to alter the swingarm.
The real fix is to choose a narrower tire.
