There have been several discussions about our meeting location in the Houston area.  We went to a rotation a number of years ago, where we meet one month in Baytown, one month in the Webster/League City area, one month in Katy, and one month in Tomball.  However, the majority of our attendees have been from the south side of town, thus making Tomball a rather long exercise in traffic dodging (last time we went there, it took me 2hrs 15 minutes to make the ~60 mile trip.  I like road trips, but that was more a road "sit in traffic and wait" trip.
When the only attendees up in Tomball live south of Bltwy 8, I start wondering if it's worthwhile.  We used to have someone up there, but he now lives a LONG way south of Bltwy 8, and isn't likely to show up (Hi Bobby, I hope you're having fun in Ecuador!)

So, What's the group's opinion?  Shall we return to the single location, somewhat centralized?  Shall we continue with the rotation as is (I need to see some evidence that northerners will go), or shall we continue our rotation but skip the north side and turn it into a three location rotation?
As always, we'll listen to alternative opinions.  If you want "other", make sure you specify here what that "other" is.

I'm putting a three week limit on this, so that we can decide where to go next month prior to my panicked late message.  (We'd be due to go to Tomball in September.)

I think it is called Big Woodrow's and not Boudreauxs, but that's not really important.  What is important is that people attend.  There have been several times that us Southerners have ridden to Baytown, Katy, and Tomball, just to have dinner together.  Not that we mind the ride, but it DOES put us back home kind of late for a work night.

I chose the centralized location.  Anywhere inside or nearly inside the 610 loop would be good.

This is the place where I came to my first eating/meeting.

THAT's the place!  Thanks for the reminder.  The poll has been fixed.  I mean repaired.  Not fixed like a Libyan election.

I would love that location.  Maybe 5 miles instead of 35-50 miles.

Only once have I gone the North Side, It was a bear.   Never been to Katy.

So I am in favor of dropping North Side as a minimum.

Being a south sider who works in Baytown, 2 of the 4 rotations work well, but I am 100% in favor of the voting process and will support the decision of the group.

Is this dinner on a set schedule every month? I'm new to the forum and live in Mont Belvieu (Baytown area).
