I tried to instal the quad horn that I purchased about a month ago today and had a funky issue.  I tried to remove the stock horn and just use the quad horn.  After mounting the horn and wiring it up, I touched the long black wire that is supposed to go to the stock horn to each stock connector while pushing the horn button and then connecting all 3.  Now neither the stock horn nor the quad horn work, also the blinkers are not working correctly either.  When I put the left blinker on nothing happens.  When I shut it off, it comes on solid.  Thanks

I'm gonna guess you've either short-circuited it by wiring it incorrectly, or touched an hot wire to ground accidentally and blew the stop/turn/horn fuse.

Yup, agree.  I blow a fuse about half the time when fooling around with hot wires.  Always have a supply around.

Did you get a wiring schematic from Bill when ya bought the horns?

If you bought them from someone different than Bill, you need to contact him via e-mail and ask him to send you a copy of his instructions.

You got a hot wire that touched ground and blew the fuse.

Do you have a relay in the circuit?

If not, get one.

You really need the relay to save your horn button.

It is best to wire his horns from a direct circuit.   Less hassle.

You will use that old horn wire to get juice into the relay.

Too bad you never posted this about a month ago.

I just cleaned the desk off at the son's shop and a set of Bill's instructions went in the trash can.

You might go to 'Shop Talk' and find a set of instructions on how to wire the horns up.    Try that before bothering Bill, he is a busy guy.

Yep, it was the fuse!  I will replace and have at it again tomorrow!  Thanks for the help!

I did, I am just zass backwards when it comes to this kind of stuff.  It had my head spinning, but I have e-mailed with him and he is quite helpful.  Shows me for trying to steal work from the shop!  Haha!
