I can't find the L shaped bolts for my spoon land adapter, so I think the cheapest thing to do is try and buy some from Ross Spoon land, but an email sent to him came back to me. Does anyone know how to get ahold of him?

Thanks

Bob

Hell if I wasn't equiped to make them I'd just buy some long bolts at Home Depot and heat them up with a torch and bend them.  5 minutes maybe.

Ross Spoonland was one of the first to make metal Valkyrie lift adapters, made one that mounted on a floor jack, and another that used a motorcycle lift.

I just use a 1/2 clevis pin with at ring on it. They come with the ring on them and a ball in the  pin. Just cut to fix for length

I bought a hinge set for a gate.  I had to grind a collar off one of the pins.  This was a more expensive fix then simply bending a bolt.  I forgot to take the original pins out before I went down the road.  Things like that happen when you get older> Embarrassed

I made one of these a fey years ago. Go to your local hardware store and buy a squared "u" bolt.  cut it in half and you get 2 for the price of one.   There's  a second one that I made that uses  2 tabs welded on to the sides of the adapter that uses a piece of round stock that  has a washer welded on one end and is cross drilled for a cotter key on the other.  As for the stud for the floor jack (if that's the one you're building) I got a 3 point hitch stud from tractor supply that fit my jack for about 4 bucks.  It was a bitch to cut (its very solid steel). Cut  it to the length that I needed and then cut threads into my base plate and threaded then welded it into place.  Waaayyy overkill but I'm not fond of dropping a 900lb motorcycle on the back of my head while I'm working on it...
