I recently bought my third Valkyrie. Like the previous two, this one has the OEM Honda screen. Unlike the others, it creates a whistling sound above 50 mph like a flock of small birds twittering. It comes from the gap between the screen and the right-hand front turn signal. Has anyone else experienced this and does anyone have a fix for it?

I once put a windscreen on my wife's Honda Spirit and it would whistle at some speed. The gap between the head light and wind screen cutout is where the noise came from on mine. I lowered the windscreen which made the gap more narrow and the whistle went away. Probably no help to you, but that is my only experience, good luck, hope someone has an idea! Firefighter

Standard or Interstate?
Every interstate I have ridden has a whistle.
Never heard it on a standard/tourer.

I too had a Standard with a factory shield that whistled and was noisy. I played with the fork guards & Baker wings but it was still loud.
Finally figured it out by using my backpack blower on the bike to simulate highway air flow.

The loudest whistling was coming from a set of deer whistles mounted on the front forks. Pulled them off and the whistling went away !
As for your whistle, do as suggested and adjust your windshield a bit.

Thanks for the input, guys. My bike is a Standard (one of the previous two was a Tourer). I will try to adjust the screen as suggested, although all the mounting points look fixed and non-adjustable to me. Maybe a few millimetres will do the trick. The bike and I live in different cities, otherwise I'd go out and try it now.

I had the exact same problem on my 2003 with a factory windscreen.
I determined the whistle was coming from the right turn signal area. I took some clear scotch tape and wrapped it around the turn signal, where the lens and chrome meet. From that day on, it never whistled again!

That sounds like the easiest fix of all time! I'll give it  try. Thanks.
