65 degrees this morning. Almost made me want to ride in the heat. Did have a little enhancement on the ham radio though, that was encouraging.

Cooler this morning, it is actually 62.9 degrees as I type this at 0620 according to the outside thermometer. Feels good, but supposed to warm back up for the weekend. Very much welcomed. Same thought I had on Mr. I love hot weather.

One question Terry; who in blazes gets up at 0620 after they retired? The day after I retired I slept 'til 0800, woke up and actually had to chuckle about it. Then grabbed the phone and called my former boss lady, a great gal I had worked with and for over the past 30 yrs. She busted out laughing and just before hanging up, she added; "John, you can KMA!" She retired about a year later and returned the favor.....at 0600. Told me she wanted to remind me of how it used to be.

I try on Saturdays, but can't get past 5:30 ( which is still sleeping in for me) I could live in Worthington Springs in a skinny minute, the Piney woods are gorgeous country. I still NEED to work though.

Okay guys....but what time to you go to bed??
Usually after the 11:00pm news, most of the time I'm up at the crack of 8:00am. If Rita comes in to check on me, she might lay down and we'll lay there and chat a bit, watch the morning antics on TV. Then it's up and ready to tackle the day with gusto. Well, maybe after my coffee, work a crossword puzzle, a late breakfast. By then I'm usually awake enough to try shaving, etc. Used to be I'd only get up early for any one of three "F's": Flying, fishing, and......feeding the kids when my former wife was still working.

I still NEED to work though. Me too Doug. Maybe I can get them to build a Home Depot up that way. I'm always up by 0600, 0400 if I have to open that day. Sounds like Terry is trying to discourage us. Maybe it's so great that he wants to keep it all to himself. Time to do some homework I think...

I do like that area, nice country, off the beaten path, just a hint of seasons without the white stuff, fantastic LOCAL riding, it's all good for me. I ride two hours through hell to get to a good ride Jeff there is an Ocala Home Depot at the intersection of SR-200 and I-75 1 hour away and Gainesville Home Depot just about 20 minutes away. I don't think you can have two green and silver Interstates in the same town? That would indicate serious population explosion.

Yes, two green and silver I/S's would be a problem I guess. Terry never rides his any more it seems. Maybe I'll get a TR3 as well! A good friend of mine manages the Gainesville HD, maybe I should give him a call.

Just remember, this (current state of affairs) too shall pass. Especially if anyone in that area would grow large enough enough gonads to actually convict that rapist of a QB. Hey, just sayin'. It's amazing to me how the rules change when the culprit is a star athlete. And oh, btw, my best friends, he is a U of F grad, and his wife a F State grad. Can you imagine the battles and bets going on at that household. For the longest time Jack was in the cat bird seat, now Lynn rules the roost. As for me, I've adopted the Gators. All in good fun.

Hey Jeff, I didn't hear you crowing when Bobby Bowden and his merry band of thugs were getting their Butts kicked. Just remember, this (current state of affairs) too shall pass. Especially if anyone in that area would grow large enough enough gonads to actually convict that rapist of a QB. Hey, just sayin'. It's amazing to me how the rules change when the culprit is a star athlete. Well, on point one, I'm not really "crowing", what ever that means, and I remember vividly the years when we quit winning so much and how it ruined Bobby's career. That was the saddest thing for me to watch, but I never quit being a fan or cheering for them just as loud each game. I'm proud as hell being a Seminoles fan. All schools have up and down years. Hopefully, for me anyway, we are entering another period of good seasons for the 'Noles. My observation about that area being gator country was just that, an observation, not an editorial. On your second point, I wasn't there and neither were you Pete. There was an investigation and he was found non-indictable, their words, not mine. Sometimes the outcome of an investigation tends to be good or bad depending on which side of the fence we reside. I don't hate the Gators or the people who cheer for them. I spent many years in the panhandle and became an FSU fan then and remain one to this day. I'm proud of their current success and hope for lots and lots more! The most important thing is being a good sport, win or lose. All in good fun, right?

Yup! All in good fun for sure. Takes ones' mind off all the things that suck now-a-days. I just like picking on Semi-hole fans. Nothing personal, so I hope you took no offense.
