Just purchased a new 2014 Blue Valkyrie and would like to put a belly pan on it. Since the Valkyrie and the GL1800 Goldwing have the same Engine and transmission would the GL1800 Goldwing belly pan fit the Valkyrie?

I have an 05 wing with a belly pan. I think you'll just have to get 2 bikes side by side to compare.

Good suggestion sandy.

IMHO, & it isn't worth much, I doubt if it will fit without a ton of modifications.

Now, my question: why do you want a belly pan on it in the 1st place?
It would be a pain in the arse to do work on the bottom end, like oil changes and etc.

Like I said, just IMHO.        Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Evil Evil angel angel

I don't know if they'' fit, but I'm guessing that yes they would because under there, I believe they are the same. Here is a link to Wingstuff page and several options.

Why? for protection from road debris. The coolant reservoir is plastic and is under there.  I have not added one yet , but it is a thought. As far as oil changes, I believe most of them have a easily removable panel for that purpose.
There is at least one made from diamond plate that actually can be used as jack surface.

On the gl1800s the over flow tank is behind, under motor. The motor protects it for the most part, but not completely. At 1765 miles on my F6B the alum duck tape Honda puts on it had hole all the way through the alum duct tape from gravel hitting it. I put the alum belly pan on. If / when I need to replace it I will go with the stainless pan with the air craft fasteners that Wing Stuff has. Small steel Allen screws in alum is going to be trouble. Those little screws that hold the front cover are easy to strip the Allen head. First oil change I stripped one Allen head and had to drop the belly pan to remove the screw. As of now the belly pan is a consumable part as I am grinding the edges.

This!!!
I put the Diamond Plate one from Wingstuff on my F6B. After what happened to EEEZZRIDER in Florida last Fall (on his Valk) as a result of road debris, I wasn't taking any chances. They don't interfere with oil changes at all. They are two piece and the front part removes to access the filter & drain plug. This might be the best but most overlooked accessory for the new 1800's.

That would sell me on one. I was looking under there today. I don't have a clue
about how to put this thing on a jack. And that tape looks like it belongs
on something someone made in their back yard  crazy2 ...

Anywho... any of you who've jacked up the new Valkyrie please talk about it...

-Mike "off to read the diamond plate ad copy..."

I'm back...

I can't really tell what the back leg of the jack is on...

An email to Tulsa:

Mike,
I don't believe it will, it fits under the exhaust heat shield on the GL and over the bottom of the lower cowling.
I haven't really looked at the new Valkyrie to give you a honest answer.
It really doesn't limit cornering much at all.
There are some copies out there, but, ours is the Original for the GL 1800
Sorry for the delay in responding
Regards
Allen

Subject: 2014 valkyrie

does your standard gl1800 belly pan fit the new valkyrie?

also, do you have any close-up pictures of the pan installed on a wing?

i've never seen one installed before so i am curious how much it hangs
down, particularly in the corners

i have seen other belly pans on wingstuff.com but i hear you guys are
the ones who designed the first

thanks for your time!

I just bought a diamond plate one from Wingstuff and it shipped today.  I'll get some pics of it once it comes in if no one has added any yet.
