...the biker made obscene hand gestures and pulled in front of the motor home before braking suddenly...

http://www.fox5sandiego.com/news/kswb-biker-rage,0,6272692.story

Let's see...flip-off a motorhome, cut in front of it, and slam on your brakes. Not a smart thing...

A month or so ago I was driving to work in my truck when a Harley rider cut right in front of me causing me to brake hard. It was dark and I flashed my lights at him. He immediately slowed down to 15 mph (posted limit was 50) and would not let me pass. A mile or so down the road we had to stop at a traffic light. He looked over and shouted "You got a problem with your lights?". I said no, but I do have a problem with a$$holes that cut me off in traffic. About that time the light changed. I rolled up the window and drove away while he sat there shouting insults. On the road, things can escalate and turn bad quickly if you let them.

A few years ago I was riding on a mud road in Yellowstone National park. You know, one of those road repair roads.

I had a motorhome so close all I could see in my mirrors was the front of the vehicle. Nothing else.

When it was safe I pulled over to let the plonker by. I managed to flag down a Ranger and reported the driver. My story was backed up the 4 bikes riding behind the motorhome who told the Ranger that I appeared from nowhere. The Ranger had the motorhome stopped at the park exit. I also suggested that I thought the driver was drunk because they were swerving on the road.  Grin

A few weeks go on the highway, I was going about 5 over the speed limit, passing a vehicle in my wife's Pontiac. This guy on a Harley with Ape Hangers wearing a skull cap (real bad ass) came up super fast, and followed me so close to my rear bumper I couldn't see his front tire. He's flashing his lights and swerving back and forth, so I reach up and turn off the cruise control and this dumbass damn near clips the back of the car, swerves around and flips the bird.
I returned the favor, gave him the greeting of the day and watched him continue down the road towards his inevitable death.
I told my wife "See, Idiots ride motorcycles, too."

Hey Daniel, they do that here in front of loaded gravel trucks, semi's, cement trucks and etc.

When they brake most of them immediately then takeoff & get away from them.

Figured one of these days someone is going to get squashed real good,  they are living on borrowed time.

We had one pull the same stunt, last year, in front of a  semi truck, with the same results.
My old guru used to tell me, "The result of anger is worse than the cause".
