Adirondacks 2009

Upstate New york

Hi, friends!

I ride a '97 Valkyrie (standard), and there a a few changes I would like to make. I want to add a light bar but my main concern is the Honda windshield. Some days I ride with the windshield ... others I ride without so I need to be able to remove the stock windshield on a whim. It is bad enough dealing with the screws, but I do not want to deal with dodging a light bar. Any ideas?

Also ... I have a Uni-go trailer that I would like to replace the turn signals on the trailer with stock turn sgnals to match those on the Valk. Does anyone know of a salvage yard ... perhaps in the northeast ... that has Valkyries where I might find a used pair of rear turn signal housings with rubber stem to add to my trailer?

Thanks, guys. Ride safe!

search for "pinwall cycle" on google and follow that to his ebay store, he should have some turn signals...

A lightbar (depending on which one you have) might make taking the windshield off more awkward,
but the lightbars I know of don't use the four bolts that hold the windshield bracket on, so it
should still be just four bolts...

If you cut the bottom out of the shield, it can be removed without any problems. Also; If you tilt the shield back a bit, you'll reduce buffeting.

I've seen plenty of turn indicator sets on ebay.  Somebody is always parting out a bike.

I have a '97 Standard with the stock windshield also.  Mine comes and goes all the time.....sometimes on...sometimes off with no problems what-so-ever.  Got it here.......

Ramon

I have a set of rear turn signals that you can have for shipping charges.  My email is in my profile.
