It is a black standard with leather saddle bags.  It has a car tire on the rear, but I am not familiar with it.  Partial plate TG755.  Hope it isn't anyone on the board.  God Bless who ever it is.

So sad to see this.

Prayers for all involved.   Sad

Well, I spoke to Geezer (Richard) and he is not the one.  His is a blue and cream.
Still gonna pray for the rider and family.

4TG755 is what I read.  Mike Budzinski shows as the owner, from San Antonio. Title shows 2000 Honda, Black.  Sure looks like that might be it.

Prayers going up for his family.  Any rider down is a loss for us all.

"The 18-wheeler had a green light and was turning left from Military Highway onto the westbound access road, but did not have a protected green arrow, police said. The motorcyclist was heading the opposite direction on Military and laid down his motorcycle to try to prevent running into the 18-wheeler."

So sad to hear of another rider being killed or hurt. I often practice stopping my bike hard at about 45MPH in a large parking lot, front first then rear brakes without locking the rear. Please do not think that you can stop your bike faster by laying it down, the rubber stops it quicker. Ride Safely

If you are riding  and it is a must that you keep your eyes on the road, you are riding too fast.

I think a lot of times when laying the bike down is written about in a report, what really happened is the rider panicked, quit riding and low sided thru a combination of poor rider skills.  This is not really laying the bike down... intentionally (which also takes some skill).

I think many riders who survive these get offs just feel better reporting they laid it down, than... I was not paying close enough attention, I lost control, and wrecked.  One is not the same as the other.
