I noticed a crack in a piece of tubing at the nipple on the carb (drivers side back left) that goes to the underside of the tank to the 6 joint connector.. I dont want to replace all at this time - just the one that is cracked.. What size is this tubing??  http://www.ronayers.com/CARBURETOR-TUBING-C206963.aspx it is Part #5 in the diagram - small tube on the lower right of #5

Drivers side back left ? Not sure what means, but, no matter. It sounds like you're talking about the lines attached to the carburetor drains. Thats not an issue. You may be able to snip it off and just reattach it, or, not worry about it. See if there isn't a screw head in the carburetor right next to the line, that line only means anything if you drain that carb.

thanks Patrick -
yea, I was trying to describe which carb, but they all have this tube exiting to the drain. I will try to snip the end off and reattach to the carb.

FYI,

Each cylinder has a corresponding carburetor.

Each OEM spark plug wire has the cylinder number on them.

Odd number cylinders on the drivers right, starting from the front to the back.. 1-3-5
Even number cylinders on the drivers left, starting from the front to the back... 2-4-6

hope this insight is helpful...

that makes it clear.. so carb #6.

This afternoon I took her to my master mechanic, tire changer, and now drain tube changer - for the quick and easy repair.. He is a great friend and entrepreneur who has a real lift that makes it - quick and easy for fixes such as these Smiley

Is the Drivers side the left side?

Would it be the same if you were in the UK?  Wink
