...be sure to upgrade your firmware to 2.0. It adds pretty much every feature available on the G9x, including sharing your music with your passenger, and automatic switch to a cell phone call if your buddy goes out of Bluetooth range. More important than that, everything just works better with 2.0; their version of Siri is no longer way louder than everything else, voice activation is reasonably sensitive so I don't have to shout to start voice commands, and press-and-hold responses (such as turning on/off the FM radio) are much quicker, about two seconds instead of about four. If your buy the G9x headset kit, which allows you to use your own speakers or ear buds, your G9 is pretty much identical to a G9x. The only exception is they can't make an iPhone app work with the G9. Just to be clear though, an iPhone works perfectly fine for calls/music/GPS, etc.
I know that this reads like an ad, but it's not. I'm just very happy that my device finally works pretty much exactly the way I wished it would have worked all along. I have headset kits installed in all four family helmets, and move the passenger intercom from helmet to helmet depending on who is riding with me.
