Since our regularly scheduled monthly dinner is this week, just one day before departure for Fredericksburg, I'm cancelling for this week. 
Let's meet up next week instead.

can't make it this week or next ... life was simpler before I became extended family to some kids!  One's got a choir concert this week, another has a volleyball tournament next week.

Oh, well, the benefits outweigh the negatives.
