Read a message the other day about a valk with hard krome pipes. I was wondering if they are still being made,if so price, and what changes have to be done to the bike. I surfed the net couldn't find any info on them. Thanks ahead of time for any info.

  No longer made.
Only fit standard, because they went up the side of bike

Shortleg thanks for the reply. I've been looking for some new pipes, I know that cobra makes them but I understand that they turn blue very easily. any sugestions would be welcome, I've only had the valk sinve november, been on the blue gray ride heard some nice pipes.

I think cobra makes some chrome shields to cover the blueing.

Rivco made the shields I think. Scarce as hens teeth these days. Out of production.

I had my Cobra Drag pipes powder coated black for about $200.00. Looks good in my opinion and you can't see the bluing because they are black. I have a 98 pearl jade (green) and black tourer so the black pipes go well with the black paint on the bike.

+1 on the MarkTs

the best of all worlds.. espcially in these days of getting harrassed by LEOs out on "loud pipe" roadblocks.

The MarkT inserts make them quiet as stock, and the Trombones make them nasty.. but the glasspacks themselves are a nice deep mellow tone you can live with even on a long trip. Not too loud and not "tinny" sounding.

I had 2Bros 6-into-6ers previosuly and they sound great but were a pain to keep clean and were a bit loud for long distance riding where you're up in the 3K range a lot.
