It's been a long time since I have needed a new tire.  I want to buy one online because they have the best prices.  What shop will mount my rear tire for a reasonable amount in the Overland Park area?  The one I previously used in Merriam is closed.  I have a 1999 Interstate.

Thanks

Are you looking for someone to just do the tire, or do the tire and everything else that needs done while the tire is off?

Are you taking the bike in and trusting that it all gets done, or are you just taking the tire and wheel in?

It's not Overland Park (I live in Olathe) but Tim Wolfe at Motorcare in Lawrence is excellent if you have to use a shop.

Tim is an independent and has done a fair amount on several Valkyries and Wings that I know of.  I've used him several times to do what I didn't feel comfortable doing or just didn't have the time to do.

Here's a link to his site:  http://www.motorcaretim.com/

I will take the tire off and take in the wheel.

Thanks for the Lawrence info.

I took my Valk I/S to to MotorCare in Lawrence, Ks. and had Tim do the complete job.  In addition, without asking, he looked over the bike and found and fixed vacuum leak, adjusted the idle mixture on each carb, replaced the stems because I had too heavy of caps on them and they destroyed the stems, tighten each carb intake ( with the exception of the front two on the left side).  He did all this work for only an additional $17.  The tire is a  Avon AV72 and the total bill was about $280.

Super nice guy and really knowledgeable about the Valk.  I highly recommend.  www.motorcaretim.com is his website 1-785-843-3449.

Glad it worked for you.

Tim is a really good man and knows his way around a lot of motorcycles.   cooldude
