2001 Standard fastest Black with Silver center stripe. Evil

I/S shocks added, with Standard shocks i had to adjust to the 4th or 5th notch and the ride was rock hard. (2 up on weekends, >425lbs.  Shocked Angry Grin. )   I have the I/S shocks on the 2nd notch and she rides smooth with good travel and bawoosh.   uglystupid2

Ultimate King Big Boy seats added at Inzane 2014. Love them, at 6' 2" 290lbs. that inch higher gave me a better leg angle and less yank feet from ground feeling

Progressive springs added, new seals, 15w oil, about an ounce low.  The front end is planted to the ground. Much safer feeling while hard braking. The Handling of any bumps in corners is improved significantly. The initial sag when you first upright and sit on the bike has gone from what felt like 2 inches, to half an inch.

Dark Side. Austone Taxi, spun balanced with weights, SMOOTH, quiet, traction. 35 psi. slow speed handling is great, high speed too. i do feel the waggle when crossing the gutter thresholds in entry/exit areas, and some groove grabbing on highways but all very manageable. Cushy ride, it used to feel hard and gravely back there. Another inch higher in back too. RPM range change is wonderful.

New rear bearings added yesterday along with D/S. I had a bad bearing in back that was not noticeable by jacking and spinning the tire. My backwards push today was when i first noticed it and the ride and glide was lighter. My fuel mileage may go up with all these improvements too.

Front tire was spun balanced yesterday as well, a Metz 880 with about 10k on it looks good for another 5 or 6k.. It needed it, BUT, I still have a 35mph bunny hop in front that is a mystery ?

She rides so much better now i had to speak my mind here. Thanks fur listenin. Wink

Mike
Sounds like you are well on your way to making it your own ride  cooldude

You need to get with TJ about getting one of those dark side stickers.

My 2000 IS also has the bunny hop at about 35. I have wrote here before trying to solve it, but now just try to adjust speed to stop it. I have been through three sets of avons, front progressive rebuild, steering head bearings, checked swing bearings and now dark side, still have the hop. I now have a bad wiggle in the handle bars, when sitting still, if I shake the bars then stop the bars continue to shake like jello. I also have trouble with this at low speed parking lot bumps etc. I have ordered a new Metz. 880, could be the trouble or part of it. Will also check everything up front and re-torque the head bearings. I have also noticed 80 mph wobble, so hope one of these repairs fixes it.  Firefighter

You're gonna love that Austone, you might want to bump the pressure up a bit and see how it feels.  I am running closer to 40.  Smooth to triple digits and like riding on a rail in the corners.
