Backing my '98 Tourer out of the garage today, I bumped the rubber fender moulding of a parked car. Scratched the paint and busted the reflector on my 2 week old (to me) machine.

Just wondering how bad I messed up. uglystupid2

Is it a two tone and did you scratch both colors? That could get a little pricey. I took the reflectors off my tourer bags and replaced them with led marker lights that fit perfectly in the reflector's mounting space. Adds a lot to nighttime visibility.

It's a fast black one! Wink I said scratched, but it is more....can't think of a word... looks like most of the "marks" will buff out.

I like the led replacement idea. Where did you find them? How do I remove the old reflectors?....they look glued on.

Thanks!

The old ones are a double sided tape application as are the led's. If I remember correctly they came from JC Whitney. Probably available other places too. I'll see if I can find something.

I believe these are the ones I have but don't remember paying nearly that much. But as you can see Show Chrome is the vendor. shop for the best price. I went with the red over the amber. I wired mine to be on with the running lights so any time the key is on they are on. No problems in over 4 years. Reflectors are for bicycles cooldude.

Thanks....I'll check out what else is available. I suppose you have a quick wire disconnect on your bags?

I don't have a good quick disconnect, I just haven't searched one out. I only have one wire exiting the bags as I attach the ground wire to the bottom bag mount bolt. I really do need to find a good disconnect for that hot wire.
