When I bought my bike a few years ago it had a multi-colored headlight bulb.  This thing really stood out  and made me more visible, which is a good thing, rite?

Well, it was bound to happen sooner or later, it burned out on me last night.
Luckily I was able to use my driving lights to make it home.

Does anyone know where I can get one of these?
It didn't change colors but besides the normal white light it had a blue and yellow tint which showed up in the reflector.

I texted the original owner to see if he remembers where he got it, so far he hasn't responded.

When I look online (which i'm not the best searcher by no means) I see a lot of colored light ads but these, I think, are just like a blue lite I see on cars around here.

I haven't pulled it out yet so maybe I can get a manufacture name/number off it when I do.

The ones that came in my bike (two bulbs, interstate) were Kuryakyn Rainbow Strobe (it does not flash).  VA is so traffic Nazi on DOT and inspections, I pulled mine out.  It is not actually a bulb, it is a cage that goes around a std H4.

Looking at the Kuryakyn site, they may no longer be available.  But if your H4 bulb is gone, you can probably replace it and reuse the strobe cage.

The Rainbow Strobe is a small cage assembly that slips over an H-4 style halogen bulb, creating a colorful pattern within the headlight. Although the beam is, for the most part, unaffected, some blue, green, and red coloring occurs. Installs with ease. Check regulations for suitability in your area. For use with H-4 halogen bulbs with three prong base.

PS, my bike used std auto parts H4s with tabs cut off the base, and still fit the Kury strobe cage.  I had the Custom Dynamics support rings (for cut tab H4s), but could never get them lined up with new bulbs in the IS fairing, and now leave them out.

Also search BL-43STR and you can find multiple vendors for them.  That being said, you already have one, so you just need to replace the standard bulb and keep the "rainbow strobe".

Like I said I didn't pull it out yet and I just figured it was the bulb, hopefully this is what it is.  That'd make it easy (and cheaper) on me.

Thanks fellas.

Thanks fellas, this is exactly what I have.  Replaced the bulb and I'm good to go.
