So 40 years ago this weekend.....
We had just moved from west texas to Houston.
I was about to start the 10th grade.
I didn't know a thing about it!  I was clueless.   I am completely furious that my parents failed to keep me informed about current events.
And that whole civil rights movement?  Never heard about it until I joined the Air Force.

I wasn't there but I dated a woman who was.  She said it was great, muddy but great.

Numerous news organizations have tried to do stories about the 40th year commemoration of the Woodstock event.
Unfortunately, they have been thwarted by the problem that they can't find any participants that have any recollections of the event.  (Good SH*T, man....  Cheesy )

I was 11 and only a couple of hours away in upstate NY. I can remember several of the teenagers in our neighborhood packing up their van and heading out after the news began to cover the back up on the NY State Thruway. I beg to go but my parents were not insane enough to let me. For years after I listened to the stories of two of the guys who went, it almost seemed to be made up until I watched a TV  show and read other reports and realized their stories were the same.

One of my highschool buddies went (no way were my parents going to let me go).  When the movie came out he went to see it but they wouldn't let him in because he was underage.

In that time frame, I was a puttin around my beat on a old Hardley-Diversion,  the week after, I got a Cog-A-Sock-ie to play with.     2 weeks after that I got a Yam-A-hopper to test.

Guess what we got for real.

If you said Moto-Goose-ie, oh you is so so correct, vibrating worthless SOB.

Some of the guys down in the LA area got to test some Duc's.     Would of loved to rode 1 on patrol.

In my opinion, the Goose was worse to ride than the Hardley-Diversion.  The Goose vibrated everything from the knees up till it fell asleep.

I was there!

A few of us who all worked in the local supermarket heard about this concert. We all rented an Avis box truck and went up there. Talk about a muddy mess!!! lol. The truck got stuck at least twice as I remember it! Everyone was sharing what ever they had. Lots of great music, a hell of alota fun and plenty of skin!!! lol

My wife and I went to the 20 year Woodstock revival in 89. By the time we found Bethel NY, we were toasted.
We did see "Guns and Roses" and the "Grateful Dead". We were lucky enough to meet Jerry Garcia at a gas station. He couldn't find the place either. So we burnt a fattie, looked at local maps, asked locals for directions, and were generaly dazed and confused.
But we did manage to get there, and as history repeated itself, it rained and was generaly a mud pit. We got the pictures to prove it.

We also made the trek in 94. We had five people in my extended cab F150. My wife, myself, my brother , my 2 year old daughter and my 9 year old nephew. Now that was the trip to HELL. We also got pictures to prove it.
NEVER AGAIN!
