When I apply my brakes, just before I come to a complete stop (from any speed) I hear/feel a click. Just one click, every time? Any thoughts? Steering head bearing?

Of course the front brake switch at the lever clicks. And our rotors are floating.

Floating calipers.
We could attach my go-pro to the bike and try to catch the sound and movement if you want to localize it.

Its not the calipers/brakes. Im very familiar with our floating calipers. Its when you've come to a complete stop and the weight of the bike transitions back off of the front forks. I feel it more than hear it. Feels like play in the front end.

Could it be your forks topping out all the way up? I've had something like that with low fork oil, though Not on my Valk.

This is much worse and is now a pronounced clunk every time the fork is under compression. Not floating brake calipers. Floating calipers with loose pads will make noise when NOT braking. If I can finish my honeydews today, up on jack stands and check for play. Any other thoughts? Low fork oil? I do have progressive springs although they are far from new, been installed about 9 years. Whatever this turns out to be, it's Billy's fault. I beat the crap out of my bike trying to keep up with him.

Maybe try re-centering the forks on the axle. Where you release the pinch bolts and torque the axle then bounce it a few times and re-tighten the pinch bolts.
Also do a close inspection of the parts for nicked or shiny spots where the parts are in contact when it makes the clunk.
Hate to think the springs inside are the cause. Can you reproduce it sitting still?
If you want help I can drop by and give you a fresh pair of eyes and ears. (after today)

Thanks for the input... Steering stem nut is good, fender mounts good, all shiny bolt on crap is good n tight. I put it up on jack stands and checked the forks for play, all looks good. Maybe some more experienced Valkohaulics can take a listen/feel Saturday? Much appreciate your offer Gil, Thank you. It's still Billy's fault

This is from the main tech board, and someone did this and problem was fixed, hope it helps. quote" There are little metal springs that the front of the pads ride on that keep tension of the pads. IF these springs are flattened out by wear over time the clunking may be a bit more pronounced. Try removing the pads and see if those springs are in right and actually exerting force on the pads. quote:
Mine clunked when I put new pads on. Took them apart and the metal springs were flat. Bent them back in shape and reinstalled. Problem fixed.
