I took the tank off and rebuilt the petcock. What should I use to flush out the tank before reinstalling it?

Isopropyl Alcohol would do just fine found at Home Depot or Lowes...

If I have a tank off and am removing the petcock and leaving a nice open drain hole I like to do this. I put about a quart of solvent/alcohol, whatever, and a few handful of 1/4-20 nuts (or clean sharp-edged small gravel chips) and shake, shake, shake until my arms get tired. Then do it again without the rattly stuff twice more. Scours crud out purty good. Do I need to remind to plug the openings before shaking?
