I used Windows movie maker to edit and it seem that the video quality drops significantly with this program.

"Becoming one with the bike" in AZ means when your butt skin melts and fuses with the leather. Lil'Bit learned a new definition for what "Hot" means.

After a buncha years in Florida, living in the desert is one big weather non-event. Many consecutive 100+ days but after the ride yesterday I checked over the scoot and it was road grime crap free! All that and no more rust! Already have more of that than I need. I'm used to having a thin coating of road goo due to that Fl. "did rain, raining or gonna rain" environment. coolsmiley

Thanks for sharing the photos, they are awesome.  Even though I have lived in TN for going on 8 years now, I am a Floridian.  If I see many more photos of that beautiful scenery of Arizona, it is going to make me think twice about returning to my beloved state of Florida in a few years!!

I absolutely love this photo...

I saw him for 30 seconds passing in the hallway at Frisco. Didn't say more than "hi", and I didn't know then that he dropped the bike on his leg. So, bottom line, no idea.

cooldude We rode to Tortilla Flats two years ago New Years week. We stayed near Scottsdale but rode to Apache junction twice and ventured all the way to the dam and the burial grounds on our last ride over there. Of course we stopped at the Mine (tourist trap) as well. Visited with an indian gal selling rings, necklaces, and such. Almost across from the old mine. But the ride to Tortilla Flats was Awesome! It is for sure in the top ten places I have ever been.

Nice photo's and video.  Though I am not much for structured rides, like to be out on my own most of the time, someday I hope to ride with you folks.  Still a bit too hot for the Valk so most of the rides are on the Magna which without the windshield, and less heat from the engine, is much cooler .

I was going to hit the Pavilions this evening but got wrapped up in a Cardinals preseason game however after that I checked the outside temps and at 10:00 p.m. it was around 90 degrees out and humid.  I had some mail to get out so I ran the Valk down to the postal office and then stopped at the Billett bar in Scottsdale just to see what was going on.  There were a bunch of bicycles parked out front.  It seemes that Paul Yaffee was there with his followers and they were riding the bicycles around town from bar to bar.  Less conflict with the cops that way.

September is coming and trips out of town up North to the cooler weather.

The trip is short,
enjoy the ride,
