Why would anyone shave a cow like that?

Broussard, Louisiana

« on: February 17, 2009, 09:41:29 PM »

I mean, I want to ride over to a get together that Early Bird is putting on and then you have to go through all this VRCC stuff.......

Let's see, after a phone call today, I am being met at the Texas State Line by some family members, to guide me to some other family member's home where I am being welcomed to spend the night - only to leave out the next day with some family members to meet up with other family members to ride up together to meet up with some MORE family members.

I mean from the moment I cross the Texas border, I am being led in by Texas folks, staying with Texas folks, meeting up and riding up with some Texas folks,  just to meet up with some Texas folks for a ride in - to enjoy a ride in with Texas folks.

MAN, YOU GOTTA HATE A GROUP LIKE THIS!!!!!!  I am going to spend the weekend with some dear, dear friends, maybe meet some new family members that I just didn't know I was related to yet, bring home some new music, share some laughs,  meet-eat-and greet some awesome folks!!!!

Man, thank ya'll for this weekend!  THIS IS GOING TO BE A MAJOR HOOT!  You Texas Folks MAJOR ROCK!!!!!  Can't wait to get over there and party with you folks!!!!!!!!!

Of course, troublemakers and hate-mongerers like yourself must be escorted in order to protect the fine state of Texas!

Can't wait!

BTW, how's your tire holding up?

What? They let Strider in, again?

Hey, have a great visit.  You've probably seen that we're importing Valk riders from as far away as Norway now, so if you want to ride with Dag this Spring, stay tuned for more details.  We'll ride 3, maybe 2 days, ma cher.

Just have to keep an eye on the tire.  I have about a dime's thickness to the wear bar.  Only problem with these Bridgestone Battleaxes is that once they hit the wear bar, they go quick.  Ya'll may have to wait on us.  I will call when I leave home and again when I get to JP's.  I will see what he thinks and if he thinks I need to, we will throw on some new skin on the rear real quick before leaving.

So, worst case, we may be an hour or so late.  I think the tire will make it though.

Or, I've got a tire I just pulled off that's got about 5K left in it, too good to throw away, too short a life for the planned summer trip.  You're welcome to it if need be.
