Hi All,
you guys have been really helpful in the past and I think I have another issue and im not really sure what it is.  the symptom are:
When I first start the bike, she idles ok.  pretty smooth.  When im riding, if the engine is revving high and I pull in the clutch or I decal it almost bounces its way down.  The RPM's don't come down slowly.
Anyone have any thoughts?

It probably would help to know the rpm range you are talking about

since that will define what carburetor system is concerned.

Right off, I would say you need a carburetor synchronization.

Ok, so you are in top gear at 4k rpm and you pull in the clutch.

The engine should race right up to the rev-limiter.

Or, you are in top gear at 4k rpm and you turn the throttle to "off".

You slow down. Is this what you are saying? The slow down is "jerky"?

the second one.  When I turn the throttle to off or let it go and give the engine no more gas instead of the rpms going down smoothly they almost bounce down.

Ok, lets see if I have it right.

The clutch lever is not pulled in. Meaning: The clutch is engaged.

So, you are simply decelerating from 4k rpm in top gear.

Is this correct?

The bike feels jerky? Or the engine sounds jerky, like makes noises & stuff? Pick one.

sorry, maybe I misspoke.  Im not in top gear when this is happening.  Its when im coming to a stop.  It can happen either when the clutch is engaged or not engaged.  just while the engine is at low RPM's.  I do some bumper to bumper traffic riding sometimes and I notice it then as well.

All right.

I feel that with you description of events, you

need to have the carburetors synchronized.

Naturally, in order to have a good result from

a synchronization, a good regimen of pretreatment

with a gas additive should be necessarily performed,

but it is not absolutely necessary.

Cool.  Thanks Rick.  What additives and pretreatment do you recommend?

I like B-12 because I feel it is very aggressive, but there are many others

which riders like. That "Tech" seems to yield good results also.
