I bought a hitch off e-bay a few yrs back with the bolts and my question is do I need the Interstate side mounts/brackets vs. the Standard's ???  the thing is heavy/clumsy to hold up and eyeball...thanx

No the area of the rails where the holes are are identical IS/STD I have a Hitchdoc on a standard with the original rails

I bought one off of RJ last year.  Before mounting it I put masking tape on the paint to keep from nicking it.  You can get the spacers and longer bolts for mounting it from ACE hardware.  the instructions for mounting it can be found searching the forum.

I would add to have someone help you. Even if it's just your wife to hold it in place. I did mine by myself and it was a pain in the butt to get everything lined up by yourself.
