My bike was struck with lightning and I'm having to replace the instrument panel, is there something which is removable that holds the information for the number of miles on the bike? Or do I need to annex an extra 25k miles... Cry

From your list of bikes, it's hard to tell which one you are asking about, but I take it that it is for an IS you want this?

I'm not aware of any way of changing the mileage. It has been asked before for those who need to swap out their ODO. It's all about honesty, and those little pieces of papers you in the US have to fill out when you sell a vehicle, to declare the mileage.

We do too, in BC, but it's all part of the transfer paper and I don't know if anyone follows up on it.

No what I mean is, isn't there a little box or something in the instrument coater that holds information to display the nowhere on the odometer?

Nothing user accessible. Sounds like you have a good project.

Have you taken the cluster apart and looked for signs of burnt electronics? I still have mine from my wrecked IS, but the housing has seen better days.
