Well, I did it again. Two front tire flats in two years. It started as a breakfast run at Skyway Jacks. Then we decided to go look at the Kawasaki Connie 14, so North to the dealer. We were cutting up and racing across the Bayside Bridge (Tampa Bay, Florida) when I hit something in the road, heard it, didn't see it.
This is the second one I survived at over 80 mph.

Wow, they made me pay for air! Sad  I thought air was free. I've got a compressor and don't air up at gas stations.(even take credit)

I was able to find a plug kit from a local Wal-Mart and on the road again.
Be carefull out there, it can get a little squirrely with a CT and a front flat!!

Looks like a penny lying next to the front of your tire.  Did you resue it from the pavement before you left?

They would charge you for the air you breath if they could figure out how to put a meter on your nose!!!  Oh crap, I should not have said that, he's everywhere, he's everywhere..................   Angry

I think I should have no other mortal wants, if I could always have plenty of music. It seems to infuse strength into my limbs and ideas into my brain. Life seems to go on without effort, when I am filled with music.

Tundra,      I know there have been a couple of discussions about continuing to run a moto tire (especially the front) on a plug, I am one who ran almost 12k on a Dunlop after a plug  (front tire of my then Shadow 1100).  I always checked the pressure and would usually look at the plug.

I bought that same kit at Walmart in San Diego, CA while in a rental vehicle on family vacation a couple of weeks ago.   Put another 1800 miles on the vehicle before it was returned in Las Vegas, NV.   I tried to get Dollar Rental to reimburse the cost of the kit and pliers I bought (I bought some cheap needle nose pliers to pull the screw out) from Walmart (plug kit and pliers=$13.00).   They told me that since I didn't purchase the rental insurance I wouldn't get reimbursed.   I said fine, you figure out which tire has the plug in it.   The manager credited my bill the $13.00 and I told him which tire.   I had already told the car check in guy which tire had the plug repair in it,  I just wanted to see how they would handle the reimbursement at the counter.

Good luck with the tire and safe riding.

Looks like a good time to put that rear tire up front to me and finish the darkside conversion.
