The VRCC 2015 Valkyrie Wall Calendar is ready.

I had some discussion with other VRCC staff members.  Due to my error not all the staff members received the email in which I asked whether they wanted to produce a calendar for 2015.  After some discussion it was agreed that the VRCC will indeed sponsor the 2015 Wall Calendar and that a significant portion of the calendar sales will go to the VRCC.

There are two ways to order a calendar.  One is to order directly from Lulu.com and Lulu will ship the calendar to you.  The VRCC will receive approximately 25% of the calendar price.

The normal way is to order through the VRCC.  Because we order in bulk and then ship to buyers ourselves the VRCC will receive a higher portion of sale price with this method.  It may take you just a few days longer to get your calendars(s).

The current calendar order for still reflects the 2014 calendar but that is being quickly updated.  Even if you order while it still shows the 2914 calendar you will in fact receive a 2015 VRCC Wall Calendar.  The order form will also give yopu the opportunity to make an additional contribution to the VRCC costs if you should desire to do so.

I apologize for our being so late in the year making the calendar available as it likely is questionable whether it will make a valid Christmas present.

Here are links for both ordering options:

Order your VRCC 2015 Wall Calendar from the VRCC

Buy a VRCC 2015 Wall Calendar directly from the printer

Update:  We have encountered an issue with the merchant account used to process charge cards.  Please don't frustrate yourself by ordering with a credit card until Motomama posts that the issue has been resolved.  This update will go away when that happens.

Motomama has been in conversation with our merchant account provider.  It appears since we didn't sell anything since June (InZane) of last year the deactivated our account but did not feel it necessary to notify us or seek our input.  The good news is they didn't bill us for that time period.  They are moving as quickly as they can but indicated it may take up to 24 hours to get us active again.  We're doing what we can to hurry.

Motomama has resolved the issue with our merchant account and has successfully tested ordering with a credit card.  We are now able to accept orders and are anxious to provide you with beautiful 2015 VRCC wall calendars.

Please don't try anymore orders until Motomama posts that we have resolved the issue with the merchant account.  She's expecting that will be early Monday.

UPDATE!!

The VRCC order page had the right dates, but last years pictures... that has been updated and now reflects the 2015 pics.  http://www.valkyrieriders.com/vrcc_calendar/index.html

There appears to be a problem w/ our merchant account; as Lori posted, she will call first thing in the morning and will post when it is resolved.

BTW, it will save you a couple bucks to order from the VRCC rather than from Lulu, plus more will go to support the VRCC.
Please watch for Lori's update that the CC issue is resolved.

Why is PayPal not an option?

BF, some years ago we considered opening a PayPal account but after research it became either impractical or undesirable to attach such a thing to a VRCC bank account.  We have used PayPal in one direction, but basically we moved it through one of my rather tiny accounts.

My memory isn't all that good, but for right now I'd rather not concentrate on pursuing that route again unless there's an overwhelming reason that we're missing out on something.

Not to say that PayPal can't be hacked, but I'm not comfortable inputting my credit card info into any other pay site.  As much as I want to support the site, I'd much prefer to do so using PayPal as that means.

I don't really need a calendar, but I wouldn't mind making a donation to help support the site.

BF, we also accept mailed in checks.  That part of the order form is working perfectly even now.

Honestly, if PayPal is the only way you're comfortable passing money to the VRCC you can PM me and we can arrange for you to send the funds to my PayPal account and then I'll use my card to send it to the VRCC.

Expecting to place a sizable order this year...

Of course I won't need the calendar - I'll just be keeping it on the cover photo all 2015. Cheesy

Seriously, I'm honored, folks!  Cool  Wow..... MANY thanks!

Actually, Woton, that's the beauty of modern technology.  If one is properly signed on that cover picture shows the bike belonging to the person looking at it.   cooldude

I'm not really comfortable with tying a VRCC bank account to PayPal.

I began using Pay Pal when it was still in its infancy. I wasn't comfortable with linking my primary bank account to it so I opened a small separate account at the credit union just for Pay Pal transactions. I have had no issues with Pay Pal over the years but still continue to use that small separate account for  my Pay Pal transactions.

I have no idea if this is a viable option for the VRCC, I just know that it has worked well for me.

The only downside that I see in using Pay Pal is that they take a cut out of most transactions.

However, people can stipulate that the money is being sent as a gift and no transaction fees are assessed.

Willow & VRCC staff,
Barb and I want to thank you for selecting her trike as one of the pics for the year. That is indeed an honor.
Before we knew that we had placed an order to be paid by check because we could not get the cc to work either. We will be ordering more once it is fixed.

Pretty trike.   We thought it was especially appropriate for Valentine's Day.

That will give us added incentive to get the issue resolved.  We did identify the problem with the merchant account and we're expecting them to hurry now with getting us fixed.
