I am trying to get a picture of the Valk Standard Tachometer face & an explanation ot the real small AMBER light at the bottom next to the coolant temp light & oil light. Can anyone help me with this. I am planning on buying a 1997 Standard model & I took a test ride on it last Saturday & that little light stayed on...is it supposed to & what is it for??? In the past I had a 1999 Standard & a 1999 Interstate but I don't remember what that light is for. I still have the factory shop manual but it says nothing about the operation of the instrument laghts...except how to test the main bulb. Pretty lacking. Maybe it is in the owners manual. Thanks for your help in advance. ironbuttassoc tommy t     P.S.... That little light has an " S " close to it. Thanks.  tt

Thanks you guys. I just came back from Fay Myers Motorcycle Sales in Green Mountain, CO with a "NEW" 1997 Valkyrie Standard. Just kidding about the NEW.  Runs real good. Just like I remembered with my other two Valks that I no longer have. I never should have gotten rid of my 1999 Interstate. Oh, well...live & learn. There was no Owners manual with this one...will have to get one. I already have a Factory Shop Manual. I am off work tomorrow so I may ride up to Gillette, Wyoming for lunch or something just to get used to the bike. I have a Yamaha Stratoliner that I have had since March 2006. It is a good bike. But I love Valkyries. I am planning on doing the Iron But 3000 on the Valk in a couple of weeks. MAYBE. Anyway, thanks to those who replied. Ride Safe Always. IBA1990 tommy t  Smiley

Just got back home from Estes Park, CO...about 45 miles from home. Testing the Valk out. Great running bike. Perfect day for a ride. In the low 70,s...cooler up there tho but very nice. Most of the snow is gone now but will be back soon. HA! Not really that far off now. Well, I hope you all have a nice week-end. Ride safe.  IBA 1990 tommy t
