hey, i'm in the market for a seat for my tourer.  just wondering what some folks around me have.  if possible, i'd like to meet up so i could see how they sit.   i know that i don't like corbin.  i would consider  a mustang if i ran across one dirt cheap.  mostly, i'm interested in ultimate and day-long.  i appreciate any help.

Paul, I have a Hartco on my Interstate and like it. I'm close to Jackson, TN if that helps.

I doubt you will find a Mustang "dirt cheap" and Day-Longs are generally custom made to fit your inseam, weight, etc...so even if you find one, chances are very good that it will not fit you. Seats are are personal preference and everyone has an opinion. Try sitting on as many as you can...bike events such as Bike Week, etc offer a good opportunity to "test sit" on a few.  Smiley

Don't know how big a hurry you are in but there are several weekend rides coming up that would give you an opportunity to see a good cross section. I have an ultimate Big boy and plan to make it to the west Tennessee ride.

i think BamaJack in B'ham has an extra Mustang for a Valk he would sell. We almost bought it for Sherry's Valk last year...but we bought one of the newer 2000 Valk stock seats to replace the old stock seat on her 98 Tourer (he had an extra of those too...so we bought that from him...he has four Valks, ya' know!). anyway, if you want a Mustang.....there is one nearby you in B'ham that could be for sale?

I've got a couple of extra Mustang seats. One plain and one with concho's, studs and a driver backrest.

I'm in McCalla, 20 miles west of B'ham off of 20/59.

I'm in Ardmore, Al. Just finished 6,300 mile going and coming from Inzane on my stock 03 Valk seat and love it rode every day somedays over 600 miles no problem. I'll bet you can get one cheap from guys who have bought Ultimas and have them leftover.

i'd love to see how the lowrider feels.  i'm short enough to need it, but ultimate says that with my weight i need the bigboy.  i don't know if i want the height of the bigboy.  where is cumberland furnace?  is that across the mountain from dayton.  i used to live in dayton and it seems like we went to a theatre in school called cumberland theatre or something.  if you are over that way, it'd be a pretty good ride from where i am now.

if we come up that way, i may give you a yell.  i've been wanting to make an overnight ride to jackson anyway.  we stayed a night up there last summer and found the Old Country Store for breakfast.  that was enough to make the trip worth while.

Wow! A bunch of Valk riders here within 15 miles.  I've got the stock seat but thinking about the Ultimate king.  Yep, I'm a big ole boy.
