Must be something about that color being abused. I helped a friend pick up an identical model last week. 8200 miles and never ridden in the rain, never been wet either I don't think it had been cleaned since the guy bought it.

28,000 miles. When I bought it,I took my battery to make sure it would turn over and the poor girl tried to start. Changed oil and plugs but it runs poorly. I found all the vacume lines broken off what a hassle!

ASPCV ... Perhaps we should start the American Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Valkyries.... hmm... then again, someone would construe my fat bu++ as being cruel when I get on mine...

Hope the bike works out, that is a nice color combo, I bet you get running like new before long..

see ya,

Hey Pat, I smell an Austin wrench party in the works!  Let me know when you want to get together - after Minnesota? - and we can sync the carbs, adjust the valves and stuff.  (I have a sync tool based on Dag's design that works pretty well.)

Sounds good Charlie, we need to get together and ride when (if ever) it cools off.

Pat I run a " No Kill "  Valk pound if an owner can't be found ship it my way  2funny

I recued this one , it too was abused , inside the exhaust
was clean as a whistle, after taking it on a trip last weekend pipes are now looking charcoal

poor owner never had it off the slow jets I gather in 5k miles and never a long run I'm Guessing.

Nice Color  cooldude

Serious note hope you can bring her back to life reasonably easy.

Mine was more or less a rescue. It looked as though it had never been cleaned but the owner was obsesive about maintnence and had the records to prove it. The first year he owned it, he changed oil three times.
